Although there were fewer members than usual at our monthly meeting on Friday 3rd July, with four writers away, it was a very enjoyable afternoon. The topic, which was 'Identity', inspired varied perspectives. Heather's definition of the subject explored the different identities that are formed as individuals grow and age. Jan focused on the uniqueness of every identity while my story was a fictitious narrative on stolen identity. Joan provided a very comprehensive account of identity with a reflection on memories. We also heard a story of politics based on personal experience from Lesley.
As the photo shows, Heather had prepared a delicious afternoon tea with the addition of a birthday cake for me - a celebration of a significant milestone.
Our next meeting is at my house on 7th August with a prompt of 'Last Memory'.
