Investment Group News

The Investment Group meets on the 1st Monday of each month at 2pm to discuss our pretend share portfolio (valued at $100,000 with $20,000 allocated across five shares) and share insights into what strategies/shares performed well and what has been disappointing. Currently we have around 9 members, however anyone interested in the stock market, shares and other investments are welcome to join our group.

The Probus investment group held its last meeting at David Thomson’s home at Secret Harbour. Discussions focused on current financial matters and economic trends that are shaping Members’ investment and retirement decisions. Valuable insights were gained into the reasons why some Members are buying/selling/and holding particular stocks. After lively discussions tempered with lots of laughter, a delicious afternoon tea was enjoyed by Members. As usual, David and Joan were excellent hosts and the location of their lovely house on the edge of the local golf course provided a relaxed and scenic backdrop for our exchange of views on various topics.
