AUGUST 2026 - Oggies, Burwood East

23 August – 12.30 

Twenty nine members duly arrived at Oggies for our regular Sunday lunch. We had two large tables at the rear of the restaurant and we all squashed in. Meryl did a wonderful job organising us all to be there and find a seat.

Service was slow, the room was so dreadfully noisy you could not talk to the person next to you which was a little sad as it is a time to talk with other members.  The meals were generally of a good size although I thought a little expensive – I had Thai prawn and scallop salad, a large very nice salad in the middle of the plate and 4 prawns and 3 scallops around the edge.

Pizza eaters were very satisfied as were others with what they ordered.

Sunday 28 June  - Box Hill RSL.

Thirty members duly arrived and checked in at the Box Hill RSL for another great meal. There was plenty of parking available which makes the RSL a good venue.

 

Thank you again Meryl for organising this event. No-one went home hungry.

MAY 2026

Despite a very cool day, 23 members enjoyed great company and food at the nursery.

Main meal menu is limited but desserts make up for that.

There is a magnificent display of plants and an expensive gift shop for you to spend spare time/money.
