Each Club has been asked to support this celebration.

"High Tea" at Chirnside Park Country Club on Thu 30 July. 

"We had ten people representing Mitcham Nunawading at the 50th Anniversary High Tea, held at Chirnside Park Social Club on Thursday 30th July.

The Probus Association of Victoria (PAV) put on this celebration, and it was held in a spacious room at the club. Plenty of food; not too many speeches; plus friends filling the table led to an enjoyable afternoon. The invitation invited people to "dress to impress" and our member Sandy was turned out in a lovely hat which certainly impressed. A memorable day, indeed."

"Cuppa with the Whitehorse Mayor and Councillors" at the Willis Room on Thu 6 August.

"Ray King, as member of the Vic/Tas 50th Anniversary Committee, organised an event on Thursday 6th August in the Willis Room at the Whitehorse City Council offices, where our club hold most of its monthly meetings. With two representatives from the majority of Probus clubs meeting in this city, this was an opportunity for them to mix with the Mayor and a couple of Councillors, as well as their counterparts in other clubs, over a cuppa and light morning tea.

The Mayor, Cr Kirsten Langford, gave a great speech congratulating Probus on their 50th Anniversary and emphasising the overlapping roles of Probus clubs and the Council in the area of Senior Citizens' wellbeing. Michael Ransom gave a similarly impressive response emphasising points in similar areas. The Council arranged for a cake to celebrate the occasion, which was shared amongst the attendees. All in all, a useful occasion for clubs to interact and for councillors to chat with them."

Michael presented the Mayor with a certificate of appreciation, which is featured in one of the photos.
