This page gives an overview of the Interest Groups available to members. Non-members or visitors who have completed an Expression of Interest form are required to participate in two activities and one monthly meeting before they can apply to become a full member of the club.

In addition to the Interest Groups below, we have an active Outings Committee which arranges several outings each year. These may vary from a High Tea, a long weekend away to a country town, or a week's holiday using one of the Probus partners, such as Trade Travel to arrange the vacation. These outings are open to all financial members.

For Non–Members

Please email [email protected] if you would like more information on any of these groups

Interest Groups Overview

Although most activities occur on the regular day, occasionally changes are made to accommodate special arrangements.

Book Chat is a mixed group which  meets at 9:45 for a 10:00 start on the third Monday each month. At Book Chat we do not have any prescribed reading. We meet at the home of one of the members and just talk about whatever we have read in the past month, giving our recommendations as to whether the books are enjoyable and interesting or not.  We swap books with each other and introduce  each other to new authors. It doesn't matter whether you have read one book or 10, all readers are welcome.

Les Soirees Music Group is a mixed group meeting on the first Monday of the month at 2.00pm. We sing a variety of songs, a few members bring along a musical instrument, and we have a wonderful afternoon tea, with the occasional soirée of cocktails and canapés to have a hootenanny. . Practice venues will be advised to registered attendees prior to the day. If you like to sing or play instruments for fun, the emphasis being on fun rather than on musical expertise, why not come along and join us.

Coffee Chat is a mixed group and meets at 10:00 on the second Monday each month at the Rouse Hill shopping centre food court. You are of course, also welcome to just come along for dinner as long as you RSVP. If you wish to purchase tickets to get seats together with other Probians this is up to you to arrange.
