2026 OUTINGS
Wednesday, 28th. The January sundowner was very much enjoyed by those who attended, some not only watched the sun set, but the moon rise high in the sky.
Friday, 28th January The Titanic Exhibition was very interesting. There is an audio guide which helps with the volume of information. It takes about 1½ hiurs to complete, there are seats in each room
Saturday, 14th February A group went to see a multimedia show Vivien Bullwinkle a WWII nurse
Wednesday, 18th March Handover Lunch 12 pm. Cost $15 please register today to facilitate ordering. Pay cash today or online ASAP
Outings Officers tried to book the Pines for our April outing, but they are already booked out for this term. Instead, the 22nd April outing will be a train trip to Byford, meeting at Perth Station for the Byford line at 10am and lunch at the Dome cafe. There are sculptures to see around the town and op shops if interested.
Wednesday 28th January 2026 5.30pm. South Perth Foreshore at Hurlingham Street. BYO Drinks, food and c hair. Parking is best done by the Easy Pay app if a fee is required. Parking appears to be free at present. If you don’t have the app, you may need a card.
Friday 30th January 2026 10 am The Titanic Exhibition The Northbridge Centre cnr Roe Street and Beaufort Street. An audio guide will serve as your narrator, bringing every historical account to life with music, sound effects and testimonies from Titanic passengers and crew. Unravel the true story of the ship as you embark on a trip through time bringing you closer to the myths, stories, and the real history of the Titanic. The show is on until June. FEBRUARY - A group enjoyed the movie Bridget Jones Mad about the Boy at Reading Cinema Belmont, additional people joined them for coffee or lunch.
There has been expressions of interest in rekindling the Flickers Cinema group. A Coordinator chooses the film and session time, announces it at the General Meeting and takes names of interested members, then follows up by email with details.
