Like the masters from the past, Brian's poems have perfect rhyme and metre, but unlike them, you wont get much in the way of horses, dead dogs or billabongs.  What you will get is his poetry about getting older, being Australian, Contemporary living, fishing and such modern topics. This month, our guest speaker is author Linda Bettenay.

Linda has written two historical novels—engaging stories steeped in Western Australia’s history and pioneering past. She’ll share how she uses historical facts to weave compelling historical fiction.

The book club will meet at the Wanneroo Library from 10am to 12pm on the 3rd Monday of each month and will hopefully kick-off on 16th March if numbers are sufficient.

Conti's Wine Tasting & Cheese

Info : The cost is $5 per person payable in advance. Jason Conti will be supplying cheese and crackers and will open an extended range of wines for us to sample.

• 12 bottles 15%
• Jason may give more discount depending how many people buy wines. It could be up to 20% but that's up to him on the day. (In my experience Jason always looks after his customers well)

Jason is also more than happy for us to bring a plate on the day, to add to the cheeseboard he will provide. He says if we wish to make it a lunch/tasting we can all bring a share plate and make a meal of it. That sounds like a good idea to me.
