At our April 2026 Club meeting a new member Richard Ekins was inducted. Welcome Richard.
Our local councillor Geoff Easton gave us an update as to what was happening in the Onkaparinga Council area. Thanks Geoff.
Our special guests for this meeting were Matt and Duran from the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Road Project who presented us with details about this significant road project for our state. This 10 year project will deliver a continuous non stop traffic flow from Gawler to Noarlunga.
Our March 2026 Club general meeting was followed by the Club's AGM.
At the AGM, Bryan O’Shaughnessy was elected and inducted as the Club’s President for 2026/2027.
Also at the AGM John Whitman was elected Vice President, Darrell Wise was elected Secretary and Tim Major was elected Treasurer.
Other Management Committee members elected were Brian Goode, Trevor Mewett, Bill Gates and Chris Barber.
Congratulations to everyone elected and we wish them well for the 2026/2027 year.

Club Life Member Ern Dunning turned 90 years old in March 2026. The Club acknowledged Ern’s achievement in reaching this milestone and also awarded him a certificated of appreciation for his efforts in raising funds for the club from used paper recycling.
After the AGM and morning tea, Club newest member Brett Jensen was our monthly guest speaker. Brett’s talked about his fascinating hobby Pelham Puppets. Brett showed some of his Pelham Puppets from his collection of around 70 puppets. A very different but entertaining topic from Brett. Well done.
In February 2026 the Club's guest Speaker was Max Kavanagh from the Back in Motion Health Group. Max continued on from his talk with us in November 2025 covering Sedentary lifestyle, aging and weight. He outlined many options and some of the misinformation about managing fitness and weight. Remember "motion is your friend" and that we have a 24 hour clock to change things in our lifestyle.
At our January 2026 Club Meeting, quest speaker Malcolm Ashwood talked about the many sporting legends he had met and interviewed whilst writing “The Definitive Rule Book”. Malcolm touched on their achievements and also the challenges they had during their careers. The presentation illustrated the highs, lows, humorous and sad aspects of the sporting world.
The Club celebrated its 42nd birthday in December 2025. The club also welcomed a new club member with the induction of Brett Jensen.The Club's birthday cake was cut by new member Brett and Dennis Wood who just completed 20 years of club membership. Well done Dennis and thank you for your contributions over the years in helping service our club.
At the December meeting, the Club also celebrated Christmas with special invited guests Jenni Law Probus District Chairperson, Adrian Roach rep Flagstaff Hill Rotart Club, Marg Law President of Happy Valley Probus Club, Geoff Eaton Onkaparinga Council local councillor and Amanda Rishworth local Federal MP and members' partners.
After the meeting, the Club celebrated its birthday and Christmas with a special morning tea, followed by special Christmas entertainment from the Infinity Choir “Singing for Fun”. A most enjoyable and fun time was had by all.
