Dear Members

As I write this message, I hear rain on our roof at long last, fingers

crossed it will continue as forecast, as the land is very dry. The

beautiful days of Autumn and the colours of the trees along with

the final blooms of roses for the season has made my days in the

garden very enjoyable. At the meeting on Monday 18th May I will

have a basket of mixed bulbs along with some paper bags; anyone

interested please feel free to take some.

There are no Members' birthdays in May.

As winter approaches I would like you to consider a donation of tin food for St John’s Anglican

Care. Every year I have been in this Probus Club we have been able to pass on shopping bags of

donated items and I’m happy to make the delivery to St Johns. I will place a basket at the main

table for any donations; soups, baked beans, spaghetti, pasta sauce mix, noodles, breakfast cereal,

anything that you think would be suitable. Please check the used by date. If you agree, we will do

this for the current month, May, and June; so many are doing it very tough now in Canberra.

For our members not feeling well, know that you are in our thoughts and if you need help or just

need to talk, don’t hesitate to phone Joan Keith on 0406 377 855, we are all only a phone call

away.
