Meet the New President - Janice Humphries

March is AGM month, which includes changing or renewing the management committee at Probus. I was appointed President of Wellington Combined Probus Club Inc on Thursday 12th of March this year.

I joined this Probus club in 2022, and have been on the committee in the role of Secretary for three years, having worked with three past presidents. I was born and raised over the hill in Masterton before coming to Wellington to train as a school dental nurse. Since then I have worked in various fields, including health, tourism, and air travel, including several years at Wellington International Airport, and too many to count at Miramar Medical Centre.

Probus was established to provide an environment for retired or semi-retired people to connectand enjoy fun, friendship, and fellowship with like-minded people in the community.  I think we uphold this philosophy with our various interest groups, monthly meetings and dining-out occasions. We pride ourselves on being a friendly club, and welcome new members.
