WHAT IS PROBUS?

Friendship, Fellowship and Fun.

Probus is a world-wide movement in 23 countries and caters principally for retired people. It was established in Australia in 1976 with the first club in Sydney. This year we are celebrating our 50th anniversary. It was established in South Australia in 1981 under the guidance of Rotary. In the South Pacific region it operates under the auspices of Probus South Pacific Ltd (PSPL).

Probus provides Probus members with the opportunity to meet fellow members on a regular basis at club meetings, listen to interesting speakers and participate in a variety of social activities.

Probus is primarily involved in social activities of interest to club members. It is not a service club involved in fund raising and community service activities.

Membership is open to any member of the community who is retired or semi-retired and looking for 'friendship, fellowship and fun'.

Club Members enjoy a guest speaker after our meeting and morning tea.
