ROMEOS - Retired Old Men Enjoying Ourselves - meets on the 2nd Thursday of months February to November at various venues. Next meeting: 10.00 a.m. Thursday, 13th August at St Stephen's Cathedral. Visit Cross River Rail. After lunch visit the Holocaust Museum. Contact: Lyndley Northcott.
Juliets Women's Group: Next meet-up is on Monday, 10th August at 11.00 a.m. to see a Live Show, "Back to the Tivoli", at Kedron-Wavell Services Club, followed by lunch at own cost. Thursday 13th August meet at Mahraba Cafe, 10.00 a.m for coffee, then visit "Red Dress" Exhibition at Museum of Brisbane, City Hall. Lunch at Kerri Craig Emporium. Contact: Margaret Stokes.
Theatre Group: Seats have been booked for "Death of a Salesman", 30th August at QPAC; "Cirque de Soleil", 23rd August at Eagle Farm; "Pirates of Penzance", Savoyard Theatre, Iona College, 10th October; "Fiddler on the Roof", 21st October at QPAC; "The Lion King", 16th December at QPAC. Thursday 16th July: 11.30 a.m. Club's 36th Birthday Lunch at Aspley Hornets Football Club, 50 Graham Road, Carseldine. Theme is "Journey to the Roaring Twenties". Cost is $55.00 p/p incl one free drink. Lead: Liz Brantley-Brown.
Thursday 23rd July: 10.30 a.m. Morning tea and Tour of Bernborough Ascot Retirement Village, 48 Hampden Street, Ascot. Lead: Margaret Stokes.
August 2026
Thursday 20th August: 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. Crazy Cards day at Gaythorne Bowls Club. A fun day playing cards with crazy rules. Cost is $10.00. Final booking and payment date is Thursday, 6th August. Lead: Margaret Spiller.
Sunday 23rd August: 2.00 p.m. Growl Theatre - "Ravenscroft". A body lies at the foot of the stairs................. Cost is $17.00 with payment due by Thursday, 6th August. Lead: Judy Catts.
Sunday 30th August: 1.30 p.m. matinee of Cirque de Soleil "Kooza" at the Big Top, 465 Curtin Avenue East, Eagle Farm. Bookings/deposits are needed by Monday 16th March and balance is payable no later than Thursday 5th June. . Lead: Linda Lawes
