ROMEOS - Retired Old Men Enjoying Ourselves - meets on the 2nd Thursday of months February to November at various venues. Next meeting: 10.00 a.m. Thursday, 11th June at Enoggera and Districts Historical Centre. We plan to meet at Stafford City Shopping Centre at 9.45 a.m. and car pool to the museum. NOTE: Volunteers assist in the History Room and do not charge for this service. Donations are welcome. Contact: Lyndley Northcott.

Monday 1st June: 9.30 a.m. Annual Bridgeman Downs Trivia Competition at Geebung RSL, 323 Newman Road, Geebung. Cost is $150.00 per table of 6 which includes morning tea. 1st Prize: $300.00, 2nd Prize: $240.00, 3rd Prize: $180.00. 2 tables fully booked.
Tuesday 23rd June: Bus trip to see the Esk Bush Bashers Show. Travel to Esk to experience good old country style entertainment of music, jokes and bush poems around the camp fire. Lunch is served during the show. Fare includes lunch and show. Arrival time in Esk is 10.15 a,m. Tiered cost is based on numbers: 21 - 30 $105.00; 31-40 $102.00; 41-49 $ 98.00. Note: An additional $5.00 cost is applicable for a gluten free lunch. Depart Gaythorne Bowls Club at 8.30 a.m., return approx 4.00 p.m. Lead: Jeanette Mills.

Thursday 16th July: 11.30 a.m. Club's 36th Birthday Lunch at Aspley Hornets Football Club, 50 Graham Road, Carseldine. Theme is "Journey to the Roaring Twenties". Cost is $55.00 p/p incl one free drink. Lead: Liz Brantley-Brown.

Thursday 20th August: 9.30 a.m. Crazy Cards day at Gaythorne Bowls Club. Details to follow.
Sunday 30th August: 1.30 p.m. matinee of Cirque de Soleil "Kooza" at the Big Top, 465 Curtin Avenue East, Eagle Farm. KOOZA is a return to the roots of Cirque de Soleil, combining high-flying acrobatic performance with the traditional art of clowning. The Club has reserved 20 seats for this show. 15 seats are in "prime" area, back of front section 103, (cost is $111.00, with a non-refundable deposit of $23.00 payable when booking) and 5 seats in "middle" area, (cost is $91.00, with a non-refundable deposit of $19.00 payable when booking). Prices represent a discount off normal ticket prices of $40.00 and $20.00 respectively. Bookings/deposits are needed by Monday 16th March and balance is payable no later than Thursday 5th June.
