Tours

Our previous tours included a 4 day tour of King Island off the coast of Tasmania, a 14 day Japan Autumn Tour and an 8 day tour of Norfolk Island..

Upcoming Tours

We have organised a private tour to celebrate Christmas in July.

We will be travelling with OnCourse Tours from 22-23 July, staying at Rydges Bathurst. This tour will include all meals with the highlight being a grand Yulefest celebration at Abercrombie House, a Scottish baronial mansion in Bathurst.

We will also visit Mt Tomah; Ben Chifley’s cottage; have a tour of Bathurst - including a lap around Mt Panorama; visit the National Motor Racing Museum; Oberon and Leura.

Our club has organised a tour of Floriade, Tulip Tops and Mayfield Gardens with OnCourse Tours from 28th September to 1 October.

It will be a wonderful extravaganza of flowers and interesting experiences.

We will visit Corbett Gardens in Bowral; Berrima; Floriade and the National Arboretum. At Parliament House we will have a guided tour and we will experience the Last Post Ceremony at the War Memorial.

More highlights will include Tulip Tops; stops in Crookwell (where you might like to purchase their world famous socks!); and Oberon, Mayfield Gardens and Leura.

Activities

We have a number of activities for members to enjoy and are always happy to add more if members are interested.

After Meeting Lunch After our monthly meeting we gather for lunch, and a casual chat and general catch up with other members, usually at Asquith Golf Club.
Amblers A monthly easy walk on well marked fire tracks, suburban streets and interesting parks. Enjoy good company in a pleasant setting while getting a bit of exercise. Morning tea or light lunch often follows at a cafe in the area.
Cards Attend our fortnightly cards evening or afternoon to play and learn a variety of card games, particularly Canasta and Count Down Whist, in a casual and relaxed setting.
Craft Exchange An exchange of craft knowledge which may involve workshops, demonstrations and participation, as appropriate. We have many talented members with skills in many arts and crafts areas and believe others would be interested in learning more about these.
Dining Experience Occasionally members enjoy the company of others while experiencing the many and varied local cafes and restaurants.
Morning Tea We meet twice monthly at a suitable cafe in the area for a casual chat and catch up with other members.
Rummikub Rummikub is similar to many card games, but uses tiles. The objective is to place all your tiles on the table by forming runs or sets of numbers of three or more. You can also add to existing runs and sets already placed on the table.
Showtime Attend a variety of shows in local clubs and other venues.
Ten Pin Bowing An occasional activity held at The Attic, Hornsby RSL Club, which includes an optional lunch at the Club beforehand.
Mini Golf Another occasional activity when we get together for games of mini golf at the Brickpit golf center.
Trivia Attend a monthly trivia night at a local club for a night of fun and friendly rivalry between our tables (as we don’t generally rank particularly highly on the overall quiz leader board, but we are improving).
