BAY RUN WALK - Drumoyne
Monday 17 November
Join us for a scenic walk around the Bay Run, following the shores of Iron Cove.
Meet: 10.00am at Drummoyne Swimming Centre, next to the Iron Cove Bridge.
Getting there
The meeting point is near the first bus stop on Victoria Road after crossing the Iron Cove Bridge from the city. Numerous buses depart from Druitt Street near Town Hall, including 502, 504, 505, 506 and 507.
The Walk
The full Bay Run is approximately 7 km and forms a continuous loop, finishing back at Drummoyne after crossing the Iron Cove Bridge from the Rozelle side.
For members who prefer a shorter walk, you can meet the group at Nield Park Pavilion Café, 89A Henley Marine Drive, Five Dock, near First Avenue. Parking is available nearby.
From Nield Park, the group will continue to Haberfield Rowers Club, where we will stop for lunch. After lunch, those doing the shorter walk can return to Nield Park and their cars.
Those completing the full 7 km walk can continue past Callan Park, across the Iron Cove Bridge and back to Drummoyne.
The Bay Run is a popular and scenic route with separate, clearly marked paths for pedestrians and cyclists.
