Learning New Skills

You're never too old to learn a new skill. We give members the opportunity to gather in a friendly, safe environment to try their hand at sometehing new. And we have a lot of laughs along the way.

Craft mornings

Members come together once a month to share craft ideas and learn new ones. It's a great way to connect, have a cuppa and a chat and learn something new.

Leather Belt Making Workshop - 16th February '26

9 members learnt a new skill and made a Leather Belt in February with the Crazy Craftsman, a local leathersmith. They firstly learnt about different types of leather and basic tools of the trade before shaping their belts, marking and punching holes, sizing their belts, adding buckles and keepers, and finally burnishing and polishing the raw edges. Members then stayed on for light refreshments before heading home with their new creations.  #mce_temp_url#

Living Art Workshop, Waterford Garden Centre - 23rd January '26

18 members gathered ion the lawn at Waterford Garden Centre to make beautiful Living Art boxes using a variety of different succulents. Todd and his team at the Garden Centre looked after us extremely well with morning tea and home made muffins before we started. Lots of laughs were had by all who attended. We now have to wait for 6 weeks for the plants to "take hold and settle" before we can hang them up in our gardens or patios. #mce_temp_url#
