June Outing - Quiz afternoon - Wednesday, 24th June
Lindy Morrison our Probus Ambassador and the 50th Anniversary Working Group of Probus Association Qld plan to run a Quiz Afternoon as part of the 50th Anniversary. This is intended to attract support from all the Clubs in our region. We hope to book 1-2 tables of 8. Apologies for the late notice.
Details as follows:
Venue: S.P.A.C.E Community Centre, Paley and Branton Streets, Kenmore Hills
Date: 24th June, 1.15 for 1.30 start.
Cost: $5 pp Afternoon Tea provided, payable on entry.
Parking: There is a small parking area over the road and plenty of parking on the streets nearby.
Shirley will address members at the June meeting. Lindy needs to know numbers by the second week in June.
There will be a sign up sheet available at the June meeting. It will be a fun, light-hearted afternoon, nothing too serious, and the questions will be very suitable for the Probus demographic. Talk with your friends and get your teams ready!
July Outing – QIMR Herston, 21st July @ 10:00am
This is an interesting important medical research facility in Brisbane that is open to some interested groups. Our Probus Club are able to visit on the 21st July 2026, at 10:00am.
Lunch after the visit is a thought in progress.
Some of the research area is not open to people with wheelchairs, wheelie walkers, or with difficulty standing as there is no seating in this particular area.

An intimate evening with TENORI - Thursday 17th September
The Probus Club of Indooroopily West is organising a show to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Probus In Australia. All local Probus Clubs are invited to attend.
6.30 Drinks and canapes
7.30 Show
Where: Sherwood Magpies AFL Club
Cost: $65.00 per person
There will be an intermission half way through the show and the Bar will be open for those who would like to have a drink.
This should be a very entertaining evening for all to enjoy. Tenori were part of the early Ten Tenors.
