A NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK:
She waved her magic wand, the rain stopped the clouds cleared and the sun came out, sounds like the beginning of a fairy tale, but no, it was the beginning of our Scavenger Hunt around the historical sites of Parramatta. What looked like a cold wet day became a beautiful sunny day spent with some of my friends from Probus, and we certainly had fun. From historical to gastronomical, the day was topped off by sharing a 1 mitre pizza on Eat Street.
The guest at our last meeting was Phil Allen a hand bell ringer, he was very entertaining with his jokes and a trip down memory lane with the tunes he played. I was amazed how he was able to select the bells in order to play each piece, it was mesmerizing.
Tech days twice a month have been a success. The artwork on our new suggestion box was created by Chat GPT, a skill I picked up on one of the days. If you have questions about your phone, laptop or other device book a spot. We have 2 people from the Digital Literacy Foundation who help us with our issues. Next month one of the tech ladies is coming so Jacky can teach her how to crochet.
Speaking of crocheting coffee and craft on the first Thursday of the month is a lot of fun, bring along whatever excites you or come for a chat.
Kind regards, Keith Rowe
