We meet on the 3rd Monday of each month at the Glenfield Memorial Hall, Hall Road, Glenfield.  Our next meeting is Monday 21st September at 10am. Our guest speaker is one of our members, talking about Indo-Mediterranean trade in antiquity. The flow of goods, gold, god(s), genes, and great ideas. Most people are unaware that the foundations of modern civilization derive from these interactions. From mathmetics and astronomy to medicine and surgery, from mining and metallurgy to philosophy and religion, and all things in-between. Most people will be familiar with some portions of this talk, a very few with much of it, but hopefully none with all of it!
